Tribe Records is proud to present the first single from renowned producer Timmy Regisford forthcoming CD Covers, which will be released on October 29th. As its name suggests, Covers is inspired by songs which Regisford loves and wanted to transform into soulful house tracks as only he can, but Shining is the exception that proves the rule, as it an original song.

In a career spanning more than 25 years a DJ, A&R Director, remixer, club host and broadcaster, Regisford has worked with a huge variety of artists from Stevie Wonder to Steel Pulse and Blaze to Diana Ross, but here he teams up with prolific R&B producer Mike City, who wrote and performed ‘Shining’. As a producer, City has worked with artists like Sunshine Anderson, Brandy, Carl Thomas and Dwele, and that shows in an understated R&B-style vocal as Mike City aka Mike Flowers (who%u2019s credited here as Mikey Dance) sings a panegyric to his partner spirit and personality.

Sean McCabe%u2019s remix pumps up the raw drums to kick-start the track and soulful chords produce a mid-tempo deep house track that will mix in beautifully with those classics and noughties Strictly Rhythm tunes, while also appealing to soul and deep house fans.
